Some questions are larger than life and some questions are.... Well, you know, not that important. I have been discussing this issue with several of my cycling buddies and while some answers are so obvious, others remain a question mark.
So, the thing is that while you, to cheer the cyclists on in a race, shout “Allez” in France, “Venga” in Spain, “Forca” in italy and “Heja” here in Sweden - We still ask ourselves the question, what do you say in Germany?
I did pose the question to a friend in Belgium and got the answer that you in Dutch much like in the English “Come on”, say “Kom op”. He didn’t have a clue to what they say in Germany though.
